These are general rules in order to edit on this wiki.
- Use proper grammar and spelling. It is advised to use American English for your text. Don't use other language. However, if you are not good in English, you can use a Translator/Dictionary, which is easy to find.
- Seek to write in an objective, passive voice when writing articles (No biased wording or personal opinions).
- Create new pages as new content is added to Anime Vanguards.
- New articles should have information upon creation. Blank pages or noted “work in progress” pages noticed by wiki staff will be treated as spam and deleted.
- Do not make a page for a topic that already exists.
- Do not make a page such as "100th page". These are spam and will be deleted without warning.
- Personal uses page are prohibited and will be deleted.
- Remove and replace opinionated and immature writing from wiki articles.
- Assist our staff in correcting vandalism and replace incorrect information.
- No pointsgaming (doing things solely for badges) or otherwise spamming unproductive edits.
- No editing others' userpages unless reverting vandalism or removing any content that violates Fandom's Terms of Use.
Wording and Grammar
- To deliver a consistent experience throughout the wiki, these set of guidelines have been created as a reference to write articles. Again, editors should strive to write in an objective, passive voice.
- It is recommended that editors refer to readers in the third-person, often as "players" or "users". They should rarely write in a first or second-person perspective when providing information unless necessary.
- First-person is a subjective way to write an article, and second-person is an informal way to write an article.
- Editors should remain impersonal in their writing.
- Avoid adding your own experiences with the topic and write down factual information instead.
- Editors are to familiarize themselves with the use of "its" and "it's".
- "Its" is used as a possessive ("Its rarity is the rarest among Mythical Units.")
- "It's" is a contraction ("It's a really strong Unit." ["It is a really strong Unit."])
- Editors should never use subjective statements, such as calling Units trash/terrible.
- While some aspects of the game (Units, Enemies, etc.) have comparable features, with some objectively lower than others (e.g., Song Jinwu to Goju), present the feature's statistics to let readers draw their own conclusion of it.
- Editors should limit their use of pronouns, and should use gender-neutral and third-person pronouns within their article. (They, them, their)
- Editors should not add jokes to the pages, and also not include things such as, "The ability cooldown is as high as heck."
- Editors should avoid using abbreviations, as readers may not be well-versed in terminology as an editor (Eg: Use "you" instead of "u".)
Files
- For some images, it is preferred that a lot of them are a square image, where width and height are the same. For example, Unit and Item Icons should be in 300x300.
- Unit's Infocards and Miscellaneous can be in any size.
- Before uploading an important image, ask an active staff if it is avaiable to be uploaded.
- The image should be cropped properly and remove the background as clean as possible.
- It is recommended to set your in-game Graphics to highest for best quality.
- It is preferred to replace existing files instead of something uploading new ones, only replace the image if the quality is loose or not corresponding with the given dimension.
- Avoid giving files joke names.
- Joke names for files are fine if they are uploaded for personal use, such as profile pages or blogs.
Templates
- If there are some specific attributes of the article, list them on the top of the page with the following templates:
- For unfinished articles, use {{Stub}}.
- For locked articles, use {{Locked}}.
